Danke Chrigu! What’s New and how are we doing?

From DT Swiss to Team Mechanic to Team Manager and now back to the roots.

Danke Chrigu

Gerne möchten wir euch darüber informieren, dass Chrigu Reber per Ende 2023 das Bike Team Solothurn verlassen, und zu DT Swiss zurückkehren wird. Wir können nicht anders als mit einem breiten Grinsen auf die Zeit zurückblicken, in der Chrigu das Team geleitet hat. Auch wir gingen in dieser Zeit durch Up’s und Downs, doch die Geschichten, welche wir dabei erlebt haben werden uns für immer bleiben und wohl noch lange erzählt werden. Eines kann man sicherlich festhalten, die Stimmung war gut und zu lachen gab es reichlich. 

Chrigu darf man definitiv zu einer der prägenden Personen des Bike Team Solothurns zählen. Die letzten 2 Jahre waren nicht das erste mal, dass wir auf ihn zählen durften. Ganz zu Beginn, genauer gesagt 2015, bei der Gründung des Bike Team Solothurns war er schon als Mechaniker dabei. Auch damals schon Stimmungsmacher, Allrounder, Mental Coach und teilweise sogar Koch. 

Danke für deinen Einsatz! Die Zeit wird uns noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben und wir freuen uns dich als Fan am einen oder anderen Streckenrand zu sehen und vor allem zu hören!

Was gibt es neues?

Als neuen Teammanager freuen wir uns Jonas Baumann begrüssen zu dürfen. Auch er bringt reichlich Erfahrung im Mountainbike Sport mit. Sei es als ehemals aktiver Rennfahrer oder einfach durch seine Begeisterung für den Sport, welche er schon seit Jahren mit sich bringt. 

Wir freuen uns auf die kommende Zeit und sind gespannt, welche Geschichten wir zusammen schreiben werden. 

Auch im Fahrerlager wird es einige Wechsel geben. Während Elia Nascarella die Saison 2024 in unserem Developement Team bestreiten wird, verlässte uns Yannick Binz per Januar 2024. Auf deinem weiteren Weg wünschen wir dir alles Gute Yannick. 

Dafür wird es im Bike Team Solothurn weiblichen Zuwachs geben. Fiona Schibler, welche letzte Saison bei den Juniorinnen eine starke Saison zeigte, wird für die neue Saison aus dem Development Team ins A Team aufsteigen. Verbleiben im A Team werden Luca Schätti, Fabio Püntener und Nick Burki.

Was läuft bei uns?

Die Vorbereitung auf die neue Saison laufen bereits auf Hochturen. Die Planung ist grösstenteils abgeschlossen und die Fahrer-innen sind sich fleissig auf den Saisonstart am vorbereiten. 

Während Luca, Fabio und Nick unter der spanischen Sonne Kilometer sammeln trainiert Fiona momentan noch im kalten Mittelland und wird später im Januar mit dem Nationalkader Richtung Süden reisen. 

Wir freuen uns auf die weitere Vorbereitung wünschen euch frohe Festtage und eine guten Rutsch ins neue Jahr.

From DT Swiss to Team Mechanic to Team Manager and now back to the roots.

We would like to inform you that Chrigu Reber will be leaving Bike Team Solothurn at the end of 2023 and returning to DT Swiss. We can’t help but look back with a big grin on the time when Chrigu led the team. We went through ups and downs during that time, but the stories we experienced will stay with us forever and likely be told for a long time. One thing can be said for sure, the atmosphere was great, and there was plenty of laughter.

Chrigu can definitely be considered one of the defining figures of Bike Team Solothurn. The last two years were not the first time we could count on him. Right at the beginning, in 2015, at the founding of Bike Team Solothurn, he was already there as a mechanic. Even then, he was a mood maker, an all-rounder, a mental coach, and sometimes even a cook.

Thank you for your dedication! The time will remain in our memories for a long time, and we look forward to seeing and hearing you as a fan on the sidelines!

What’s new?

We are pleased to welcome Jonas Baumann as the new team manager. He also brings plenty of experience in mountain biking, whether as a former active racer or simply through his enthusiasm for the sport, which he has carried with him for years.

We look forward to the upcoming time and are excited about the stories we will write together.

There will also be some changes in the paddock. While Elia Nascarella will compete in our Development Team for the 2024 season, Yannick Binz will leave us in January 2024. We wish you all the best on your future path, Yannick.

In return, there will be a female addition to Bike Team Solothurn. Fiona Schibler, who showed a strong season in the Junior category last season, will move up from the Development Team to the A Team for the new season. Remaining in the A Team will be Luca Schätti, Fabio Püntener, and Nick Burki.

How are we doing?

Preparations for the new season are already in full swing. The planning is mostly complete, and the riders are diligently preparing for the season start. While Luca, Fabio, and Nick are collecting kilometers under the Spanish sun, Fiona is currently training in the cold Mittelland and will travel south with the National Team later in January.
